Starlight Rod & Kustom

Man, after hittin the SoCal Speedshop, and the Mooneyes shop today, i decided to take the long way home, creep through some neighborhoods to see if i could spot any potential lurkin in the bushes. Anyways, i end up coming across Starlight Rod & Kustom shop in Carson. This place was stellar! The dude runnin the joint was super cool, we talked lowriders and 60's customs, and even vans! He was nice enough to give me a full guided tour, the sun was kinda blowin up the place which made it tough to get a good picture, but i tried to make due. The blue merc was absolutely amazing, as was the show rod project they had going, god i love those things, they had a couple of camaro's in there too, as well as a first gen nova and a 58 chevy truck. There were some rad projects waiting back behind the shop too, i spotted, a cool nomad, a model a sedan, an early 60's buick, and a couple others.

More Whips

Peeped these bad little bitties during my cruising around. My whole time driving down here i was rubbernecking checkin out vans and trying to spot some potential in sittin on the sides of houses. My heart flutters everytime i catch a glimpse of a big slab sided, big bootied van creepin in the shadows.
This thing is right up my alley, a little rough around the edges, but it has juuuust the right amount of that "rapey" vibe i like in a van.

This orange one is sick in it's own right as well, it's got a "good ol' boy" thing going on.

This bug was parked down the street from the Mooneyes shop. I've developed a sweet spot for some lowered VW's, and the rack up top on this one sets it off quite nicely.

This old truck was down at the beach, looks pretty cool, from a distance it appears to be just a stock farm truck, but it is sporting a HUGE pair of meats in back which leads me to believe that its packin some serious heat under the hood.

I miss my van...

It kills me to think that while i am here soaking up the sun, kickin back on the beach, The Vanimal sits at home gettin snowed on, not getting drivin, not getting the attention it needs and craves. Not to mention the people, the van's fans!

Long Beach Link

I found this sick Lincoln for sale off PCH in Long Beach. Still needs a little work, front bumper is kinda hangin off, and it looks like they ran out of material on the top, cause there is a huge hole in. But $14,000 for a chopped and bagged Lincoln might not be to bad... i dug it.

Came across this reDONKulous, little gem just before my adventures in the south are coming to an end. I couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up my stay here.

Wagonzzz....

I've been on a hell of a wagon kick lately, (I hope this doesn't mean I'm ready for a family) here are a few I robbed off the net.
